About
Basketball Coaching Savant is a free profiler of NBA head coaches from Western Conference Elitists: records and the coaching tree back to 1946-47, and everything a coach decides on the floor from the season its data begins.
Its centerpiece is the Rotation Map: for every man with 100 minutes under a coach, when he is usually on the floor, and how often and why the coach goes off-script. Lineups are judged from their parts rather than raw lineup ratings. Timeouts are tested against the runs they were called to stop. Wins are measured against two expectations: the roster's prior-season talent and the sportsbooks' preseason win total.
Play-by-play comes from ESPN, team tables from NBA.com, records and staffs from Basketball-Reference. Every percentile names its pool, every section is labelled with the year its data begins, and the rotation verdicts are the model's view, not a verdict. The rows behind every chart are open to the AI connector as a Data Room.
